Giving respect to all adults
is an important thing to do.
When you give respect to them,
they’ll give it right back to you.

So listen with an eager ear
and answer kindly when they call.
Be sure to keep your promises,
and don’t ever lie at all.

To get respect, we need to give away.
It can be quite a rewarding task,
To listen to our parents and not disobey,
and while at school do what our teachers ask.

Parents are the people
that help us live our lives.
They clothe us, feed us,
and give us all a home.

While teachers are the people
who encourage us to strive,
and provide with the knowledge
that we’ll need when we’re grown.

It won’t always be easy
for you to act this way.
For at times it’s true that your friends and you
may soon be led astray.

But please don’t be tempted
to disrespect in any way.
When you find yourself about to slip,
be sure to stop and say…
