"DON ELBREG & B.J. MONTOYA: LIVE AT THE WARREN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER" CD

"DON ELBREG & B.J. MONTOYA: LIVE AT THE WARREN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER" CD (Click "Photos" to see CD cover)

On September 16th, 2000, My good friend B.J. Montoya and I performed at The Warren Performing Arts Center in Indianapolis, Indiana in support of my 2000 original CD release entitled "The Groundwork for My Going On." I asked that it be recorded by my friend Mark Dodd at DTI who ran the sound (link to Dodd Technologies Inc. on the links page on this site) with the intent of releasing it as I have decided to do now, 18 years later, but only included 4 of the 11 tracks on my 2005 covers CD release entitled "About as Honest As I Can Get," also available on this site for purchase. As time passed over the following several years, I kept returning to the other 7 tracks that had not been released as originally intended, including 4 live versions of originals from the Groundwork CD release and the stories behind them, and am excited to have now released all 11 tracks and stories in the order B.J. and I performed them, especially to share B.J.'s wonderful violin and harmony vocal contributions to the performance!

On June 20th, 2002, I recorded what would be the last of nearly two years of weekly, Thursday night performances at the Locker Room in Muncie, Indiana. This live CD includes thirteen of the many covers that I performed there, two of which feature my long-time friend Adam Hill on lead vocal.

12 new all-original songs in the styles of Folk, Rock, Bluegrass, and Country.

"MY ONE TRUE DESTINATION" CD

Also available on iTunes, amazon.com, and cdbaby.com (To see cover photo, click "Photos"/CD Title)

Released in 2006, this recording includes 12 Folk/Blues/Bluegrass original songs, including "East River Mountain," and "Marveled by the Moon," that celebrate the great outdoors, while songs like "Time Not Taken For Granted," and "Hope Is What Guides Us," are more prophetic in their lyrical content and delivery. My love for storytelling is represented in the songs "Robbin' Banks and Raidin' Trains," about Frank and Jesse James, and "Good Old Fashioned Love," a song that appeals to romanticism and courtship. The title track is a relatable ballad, that explores the ever-pressing question of what may come next in life, accepting the good with the bad that one is faced with, and still forging ahead toward happiness, no matter how hard it may be to get there.
